Selection Panel for Chairperson and Members of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
Declaration of Vacancies
Pursuant to Section 9 (b) of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission Act, 2011, the Selection Panel invites applications from suitably qualified Kenyans for the positions of the Chairperson and Members of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission as shown below.
A. Vacancy for the Position of Chairperson Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
[One Position]
For appointment as Chairperson of Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, a person should:
(i) hold a degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
(ii) have knowledge and experience of not less than fifteen (15) years in any of the following fields:-
- Ethics and governance
- Audit
- Law
- Accounting
- Public Administration
- Fraud Investigation
- Leadership
- Public relations and media
- Economics
- Religious studies or philosophy
- Social Studies
(iv) have had a distinguished career in his/her respective field.
B. Vacancy for the Position of Member, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
[Two Positions]
For appointment as a Member of Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, a person should:
(i) hold a degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
(ii) have knowledge and experience of not less than ten (10) years in any of the following fields:-
- Ethics and governance
- Audit
- Law
- Accounting
- Public Administration
- Fraud Investigation
- Leadership
- Public relations and media
- Economics
- Religious studies or philosophy
- Social Studies
(iv) have had a distinguished career in his/her respective field.
C. Please Note:
i. A person shall not be qualified for appointment as Chairperson or Member of the Commission if the person:
(a) Is a member of a governing body of a political party;
(b) Is an undischarged bankrupt;
(c) has been convicted of a felony; or
(d) has been removed from public office for contravening the provisions of the Constitution or any other law
ii. Names of all qualified and shortlisted candidates shall be published in the print media after the closure of the advert.
iii. The Salary and Benefits of the Chairperson and Members of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission shall be as determined by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission.
iv. Persons with disability, the marginalized and the minorities are encouraged to apply.
