We are looking to place dynamic, creative and self –driven experienced professional who will be responsible for continuously appraising the Bank’s business processes and policies to bring them towards the desired level of efficiency and rationalization as well as efficiently deliver real-time analytic processing on constantly changing data, enable descriptive and predictive analytics to support real-time decisions.

The Role

The successful jobholder will be required to:
  • Work with Business Unit Partners to examine current systems and processes, policies and procedures to propose changes and amendments through the Head, Business Change Management, to continuously ensure that the Bank’s processes are efficient, minimize costs and minimize inherent risks.
  • Translate all business requirements into technical language and ensure that the technical team deliver business needs as well as provide project planning, milestone management, scope management and change management across the product portfolio
  • Collate and synthesize business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports and purchased sources, and develop data structures that support the generation of business insights and strategy.
  • Facilitate business process reviews utilizing process improvement methodologies that address business requirements and provide for continuous operational improvement
  • Carry out appropriate research and product analysis as well as continuously monitor industry development expectations to ensure that the Bank keeps abreast of new developments in a bid to counter competition and increase market share
  • Identify scope and handle business re-engineering requests as well as proactively analyze the Bank’s strategic objectives to identify the requisite changes to be applied to our platform and the resultant impact and develop an implementation proposal / plan
  • Develop internal tools, reports and dashboards that are re-usable and user friendly that drive our business processes and ensure developed tools are scalable to different products and customer requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to use data to develop new strategies and improve business performance and utilize knowledge of mathematical modeling and other optimization methods to enable quantitative and qualitative data analysis
  • Work in areas of information strategy development, logical and physical data modeling, as well as extracting-transforming-loading data with Business intelligence tools, define data modeling requirements, gathering and validating information, applying judgment and statistical tests.
  • Developing and implementing robust processes of monitoring and measuring data quality, specifically in relation to data accuracy, consistency and completeness, ensure governance of the scorecards and monitoring the performance of the models as well as ensuring a detailed end to end reporting process flow is maintained i.e. data extraction process, data manipulation and checks/controls.

Qualifications, Skills and Attributes
  • The successful candidate will be required to have the following skills, attributes and competencies:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and other related technical fields with a minimum of 5 years experience in project management & processes re-engineering in the Banking industry
  • Professional certification – Project Management Course, Prince II certification
  • Strong data  analysis skills with a structured, fact-based approach to problem solving
  • Should display understanding of the latest developments and emerging trends in the market place
  • Good Business knowledge and awareness as well as a business development mind with ability to fill gaps developing project proposals to fill in the identified needs
  • Should be results-oriented, possess the ability to work under pressure and deliver on time
  • A deep and wide understanding of ICT financial delivery systems
  • Very strong project management, leadership and execution skills with demonstrated ability to plan and deliver projects with multiple stake-holders
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving skills and interpersonal skills
  • Entrepreneurial, willing to challenge the status quo and push the envelope on what may be possible
  • Resilient  in the face of setbacks
