Description:

Recon branding is the graphic design and visual communications service of Remyitech Limited. We are currently searching for a Graphic Designer/Web with IT and drawing skills, and ability to use lettering and images to communicate information and ideas. The candidate must possess excellent coordination, interpersonal, and project management skills to work with all stakeholders and deliver professional results within deadlines.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Discussing the requirements of the project (the brief) with clients and colleagues
• Choosing the most suitable materials and style
• Producing rough sketches, computer visuals, or initial designs to show the client
• Using specialist computer software to prepare designs
• Providing costs for the project
• Producing a final layout with exact specifications for typefaces, letter size and colors
• Working to budgets and deadlines.
• They may also produce 3D designs for packaging, exhibitions and displays.
• Manage and run office administrative and secretariat support activities
• Provide customer care and support services, receiving calls and keeping accounts

Academic requirements

• The candidate should have a higher national diploma or degree in graphic design or other art and design-based subject, including those that involve visual art, and in particular:
• Graphic design;
• Film/television;
• Communication design.
• Photography;
• Illustration;
• Visual art;
• 3D design;
• Fine art;
• Web
• Animations

Technical knowledge

• To support their creativity and imagination, they will also need a working knowledge of:
• Desktop design software
• Image editing packages
• Web systems, program languages & packages

• Apart from technical and drawing skills, candidates need to show evidence of the following:
• Passion, enthusiasm, and creative flair;
• Flexible approach when working in a team;
• Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to clients and colleagues;
• Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs
• Effective networking skills to build contacts.
• Time management skills and the ability to cope with several projects at a time;
• Accuracy, attention to detail and professional patience;
• Excellent communication skills in order to interpret and negotiate briefs with clients

Working Hours

40 hours per week, but would need to work longer hours when there are deadlines to meet.

Income

Starting salaries can be between Kes 25,001 – 40,000 per month, depending on experience of the entrant.
