Job Title: Relationship Manager – Asset Finance
Immediate Supervisor: Head of Asset Finance
Department: Asset Finance
Main purpose of the Job:
- Contribute to the growth of Asset finance business by strengthening dealer and customer relations.
- Generate new business leads that in turn result to closed sales, through initiatives such as product awareness, development of schemes, and customer visits amongst others.
- To meet target sales and income budgets.
- Manage loan performance.
Relationship management:
- Conduct regular visits to dealers and insurance brokers for AF and IPF business respectively.
- Collate feedback and facilitate resolution of any outstanding issues between dealers, insurance brokers / agents and the bank.
- Conduct regular visits to customers with existing lines of credit, in pursuit of more business.
- Work closely with Corporate RMs, BDMs and branches to drive adoption of asset finance products.
- Provide training to dealers and staff on a regular basis on various aspects of asset financing such as processing and documentation.
- Drive growth in revenue in Asset finance ,Operating lease finance and Insurance Premium Financing, through
- direct sales to both Individual and corporate clients
- development of promotional schemes with vehicle dealers
- regular dealer visits and Insurance brokers/agents
- enhanced customer service delivery
- development of staff schemes
- Accelerate take up of undrawn approvals
- Meet sales targets and income budgets
- Follow-up and covert prospective leads acquired from dealers to closed sales
- Market and negotiate dealers joint promotional schemes
- Market and negotiate staff car loan schemes
- Identify, develop and manage asset finance business promotional activities such new product launches, breakfast sessions,annual dealer award amongst others.
- Cross selling other bank products
- Ensure customer retention by offering a wide product range to existing customers and by marketing to customers who have recently cleared HP agreements.

- Personal Development
- Maintain a good working relationship with other staff members to facilitate smooth co-ordination of activities and ensure growth in the business unit.
- Reports to be generated:
- Deal pipelines for both AF and IPF
- Monthly reports for both AF and IPF
- Variance analysis on budgeted sales and income budget
- Summary of deposits mobilized
- Arrears report and remedial action
- Participate in internal management forums and suggest ways of improving service delivery and product development.
- Continuously conduct market intelligence to identify new niche markets , product pricing been offered by competition ,customer buying trends,new government directives and changes in technology
Education Level
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
- Professional Qualifications
- AKIB/ACIB/MBA
- 5 years as a relationship manager
