Job description

Drive customer and commercial subject matter expertise in subject matter (RGM/OBPPC) including sharing best practices and leading cross-system projects in conjunction with Franchise teams, Bottlers and Customers to create value and competitive advantage for the System and our customers.
Ensure consistent set of terms, tools, metrics, reports and charts of Data Standards and Tools to support the RGM process in place and ready to use, by closely collobrating with finance business planning team and commercial system for project milestone delivery.
Source and share best pratices and frameworks for implementation and enable speed and scale.

RGM
Build Opportunity Mapping capabilities, executed every 3 years to identify and prioritize business growth opportunities based on projected volume, revenue and margin growth in order to enable our System to align on long term growth opportunities, informing our internal and customer strategic business planning and allowing us to create a compelling category vision for our customers, by closely collaborating with BU strategy teams and Bu and Framchise commercial teams to successfully deploy the process & outcomes
Develop capabilities within Franchise teams to successfully ensure that OBPPC designed and executed to meet consumers/shoppers needs and Customers/System financial goals in order to increase system revenue and margin across the portfolio through growing incidence, transactions and category share and improving SKU efficiency by by closely collaborating with BU, commercial team to successfully deploy the process & outcomes
Develop capabilities within Franchise Customer teams to succesfully ensure PTC tools designed and executed to aproach to managing the total price and trade investment with our key customers ensure consistent, fair and defensible pricing, terms and conditions (on what we give and what we get) by closely collaborating with Finance Business Planning team, commercial team and sales team to successfully deploy the process & outcomes. Also ensure Promotional Spend tools designed and executed to measure the financial impact of promotion and effectiveness of our investment to customer in order to increase ROI and revenue for system and customers by closely collaborating with Finance Business Planning team, commercial team and sales team to successfully deploy the process & outcomes
Implement RGM Capability building across all related functions (i.e. commmercial, sales, financial planning…) in order to build and execute sustainable RGM culture in the organisation

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prioritized Responsibilities

- Develop and integrated vision and strategic roadmap for RGM/OBPPC and align it across all senior key stakeholders in KO and bottlers
- Define, align and develop the system structure and capabilities required to implement the vision across the system
- Secure measurable and sustainable CEWA Revenue Growth across the portfolio, by leading the development, alignment and deployment of effective and efficient Revenue Growth Management capability and programs, adapting the global RGM model to the CEWA realities
- Drive Capability building programs and initiatives for Franchise teams, and ensure implementation of the same against an agreed curriculum and capability plan

COMMUNICATION COMPLEXITIES:

The role manages the strategic conversation and alignment with senior internal and external stakeholders. Disseminates information both internally and externally. Strategic negotiation is required with multiple parties externally.

Franchise leaders (GMs, Ops Managers, Stills Business Development Managers)

Bottler GMs and Sales / Operations Directors; Bottling Group Commercial Directors,

BU Franchise GMs , Commercial Director, Customers Organization , Finance / Strategic planning teams

ANALYSIS:

The role is required to solve complex business issues which involve multi geographies, multi bottlers and the full value chain. The role requires a deep subject matter expertise and a sound understanding of system value drivers. The role is constantly required to help drive development of strategic solutions, and the supporting processes and financial mechanisms to drive to execution. Responsibilities are typically stated as broad goals or areas of accountability. There is substantial latitude in determining how to accomplish the goals.

The role will:
Create, deploy and embed the Execution Excellence culture across the system
Drive sustainable revenue growth while gaining share in the markets
Develop long term OBBPC architectures and RGM strategies for the BU grounded in consumer and category insights and aligned with bottler supply chain infrastructure and P&Ls

JUDGMENT AND DECISION MAKING:
Accountability: Typically in the form of broad goals or areas of accountability
Fully involved and accountable for the development and execution of RGM and OBPPC strategy across the BU.
Day-to-Day Decisions: balancing and organizing the workload to meet short and long term commitments
Project Approach/Methodology: chooses and/or designs the appropriate approach and/or methodology to deliver against specific project objectives; Sets the agenda and the work plan for the development of consultants, research and insights.
Business Recommendations: crafting actionable recommendations for Senior Leadership consideration. Influencing key decision makers to make final decisions; Identifies value creation initiatives and connects them with the local strategies and plans.

INNOVATION:

All commercial areas will require ongoing innovation in processes and tools. Specifically for this role, the individual will need to be intellectually curious and willing to try and then scale new capability building approaches for RG./OBBPC, while being a key piece of the Execution Excellence capability building across the system.

RGM: The job involves designing and creating a innovative processes for improving financial and sales results from all channels, by category, by pack, by customer/outlet type, and by market, working with shopper insights in order to identify potential RGM opportunities. The job also requires the capability to identify future sources of revenue growth.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

No Direct Reports. However the role will require the individual to operate effectively in a matrix driven organization. Interactions and influencing skills will be as defined below:

Internal:
Interact and influence the Franchise and marketing Operations teams
Interact and influence Commercial Teams in Bottler Community (primarily engaging 5 of them).
Will participate in the process of aligning the C&CL vision with the top 5 Bottling partners

External:
Research houses

  • KO System Knowledge and experience : Ability to facilitate and accelerate the business relationship based upon an intimate understanding of the Bottler and our System. Includes the ability to actively listen and engage in conversation with bottlers to uncover relevant information, resources and solutions.

RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years business experience in senior management position; bottler experience is a plus.
  • Significant cross functional experience, including marketing, commercial, route to market, franchise, finance, bottling operations, and business development
  • Proven Strong team leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and cultures
  • Understanding of supply chain and technical aspects of FMCG / Beverages business
  • Leadership within a framework of a global organization
  • Experience as member of senior management team
  • Experience in facilitation of multi-disciplinary teams

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

University Bachelor’s Degree Required; Post graduate is a plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bottler and/or KO operations experience is preferred

CULTURAL DIVERSITY:
Will be exposed and must communicate primarily with English, French and in Portuguese speaking markets
Must be proficient in social and cultural matters of all the countries in CEWA.
Adaptable to interact with all cultures in Sub-Sahara Africa, Europe and USA.
Direct interaction with Bottlers & Customers and their different culture and business backgrounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Professional working conditions, with exposure to security risks when travelling in less secure and/or underdeveloped countries.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

40% of time, is required for travel mostly in CEWA

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This is a critical role within the C&CL function in CEWA and requires a person with solid System understanding, robust analytical and strategic skills, positive and winning attitude strong attitude, and drive to build a shopper culture in CEWA and ability to work and deliver exceptional results under pressure and complexity.
The position is newly created and requires a winning and changing attitude and set of skill and knowledge, such as: a clear holistic understanding of how our system works, a proven general management background and the ability to move strategic frameworks and principles into tangible actions and capabilities is indispensable.
The role requires a r manager with proven track record in managing our business and personal credibility with the senior constituencies that interacts and influences.
