We are currently recruiting in our office in Mombasa, Kenya

Shipping Manager

Responsibilities:

• To manage the daily operations of our client branch in MSA
• Take a proactive lead in canvassing for potential tramping business within the local market and to liaise closely with Hoegh Autoliner to canvas for overseas potential business.
• Take a proactive involvement in the daily operations and planning of ship’s arrivals, and to build good relationships with various authorities such as KPA and various nominated service providers.
• Prepare monthly activity reports and to keep proper statistics for the global Hoegh Autoliner activity in Mombasa port
• Improve and take the lead on our sales and marketing for Hoegh Autoliner services with particular attention to promote their RORO service in order to reinforce sales to obtain export/import bookings.
• To supervise closely the daily operation discharging whilst Roro vessel aalongside.
• To maintain proper monthly statistics for Import / Export activity (Vehicles)
• Validate Proforma D/A’s and final invoicing to our Principals
• To ensure sound monthly records are kept for collections made on behalf of our principals such as Ocean Freight and THC
• Ensure and validate where necessary shipping line documentations.

Profile:

• Business Degree
• Diploma in Shipping or Clearing and forwarding is a must
• Minimum of five years’ experience at a Managerial level in a Freight Forwarding environment
