Position: Accountant
Introduction:
A boys rehabilitation centre located in Nairobi is seeking to recruit an Accountant who will be responsible for the financial and Accounting Management of the Home’s books of Accounts. The successful candidate must have a working knowledge and experience in Quick books Accounting System.
Reporting to: Director
Salary: ksh.20, 000 per month
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Post financial data into Quick books accounting system.
- Ensure all accounting Ledgers are well updated on a daily basis.i.e debtors, suppliers, assets, petty cash etc.
- Bank Reconciliations
- Payroll preparation and statutory deduction remittances.
- Processing payments to all creditors and maintaining financial records.
- Providing financial reports on a weekly, monthly basis or when required.
- Providing Accounts statements as and when required.
- Processing bank, suppliers, debtors and other ledgers reconciliations.
- Preparing of reports to various donors
- Custodian of fixed asset register
- Updating the fixed asset register.
- Any other task as may be allocated.
- C.P.A Part 1
- Working knowledge and Experience in Quick books Accounting System and Excel a must.
- At least 2 years relevant working experience
- High Degree of integrity
- Good interpersonal skills
- Strong Analytical skills
- Should be self motivated with ability to work effectively without supervision.
- Able to interact and work with children
- Those that have worked in a children’s home will have an added advantage
