Job Title: Logistics / Warehouse Trainer

Location: Nairobi, Warehouse

Experience / Qualifications Needed

  • The position warrants a professional & dedicated mature person with a recognized Professional qualification in Training & Development within Logistics Industry.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification and a thorough knowledge of training methodologies, with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a training environment.
  • The candidate shall have good theoretical knowledge combined with practical logistics/transport experience.
  • The candidate must be able to work effectively & independently as well as to be able to take important decisions pertaining to training.
Principal Accountabilities
  • Accountable for Training and Development of Warehouse staff.
  • Administer tests and examine results after training exercise.
  • Update training manual as training needs change.
  • Establish who needs what level of competence.
  • Ensure the most appropriate learning methods are adopted & quality of all training meets the organization’s needs.
  • Ensure all Training Resources – People, Facilities, Equipment, & Material – are adequate & available.
  • Provide regular Progress Reviews to the Head Of Operational Excellence.
Skills and Competencies
  • Familiar with warehouse management operations including use of equipment and maintenance of same.
  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate attention to detail. Must be able to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Must have good interpersonal & leadership skills.
  • Must have analytical and comprehension skills.
