Airtel Group Africa Job Vacancy : Event & Executive Travel Coordinator
Job description
Event Planning - Manage all Africa events and conclaves arranged by both the Africa CEO’s office and all other departments within Airtel Africa;
- Organize high level workshops that bring together Airtel shareholders, MD&CEO Africa, country-level Managing Directors and the Executive leadership Team at Group Level;
- Assist with negotiations for venue bookings and book event space, make travel arrangements for those attending the event;
- Serve as the liaison with vendors on event-related matters and prepare materials, packages, gift bags, etc….to be used at the events;
- Assist with managing the event on the ground as necessary.
- Provide outstanding customer service, be an enthusiastic professional, and be able to build relationships with internal and external customers.
Executive Travel Coordination
- Plan for the Africa CEO’s and Executive Operations Directors’ travel as requested;
- Manage all travel logistics in support of the CEO’s office in a very busy working environment with lots of travel i.e. tickets, accommodation, visas…;
- Manage protocol as well as the Meet & Greet needs for the Global Leadership’s (Chairman and Global Leaders) travel to Africa;
- Work in collaboration with the contracted Aviation Company on the Private Jet bookings and management;
- Prepare travel dossier for the Africa CEO.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; a post-graduate diploma in event management or business administration will be an added advantage.
- Significant work experience in event management and coordinating of special events;
- At least 3 years’ experience with office administrative management.
- Excellent communication skills, including writing, proof reading skills, and speaking.
- Ability to manage multiple travel arrangements
- Excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, with high professionalism.
- Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision.
- Fantastic customer service ethic and high expectations for quality.
- Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and mail merges; email and web searches.
