We are inviting applications for the following positions:
1. Senior Grants and Contracts Coordinator
Based in Nairobi
The position is a three-year contract and the incumbent will report to the Business Development Manager.
Purpose of the Job and Key Responsibilities:
The Senior Grants and Contract Coordinator will be responsible for developing successful proposals and budgeting strategies for Plan Kenya’s new business opportunity.
The position holder will also liaise with the Finance Department to manage cost proposal development regardless of donor source.
The role is also expected to support the Business Development Manager to develop and maintain all internal and external contracts and ensure financial reports to donors are accurate and timely.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Social Sciences/ BCom or any relevant field.
- Five years hands-on experience in grants development, analysis, trends and management; preferably in an NGO set-up.
- Ability to develop various types of budgets and donor reporting.
- Coordination (ability to multitask and deal with different funding streams)
- Ability to analyze complex financial information from various donors.
- 2. Project Implementation Officer – Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) Project
- Based in Kisumu
- The position is a three-year contract and the incumbent will report to the Project Manager-ECCD.
- Purpose of the Job and Key Responsibilities: The Project Implementation Officer will be responsible for the development and execution of the project work plans as per the approved activity plan for his/her area of responsibility.
- S/he is also responsible for contributing to designing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on the progress of the project activities.
- Education, Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education/Social Sciences or Development Studies
- At least 3 years’ experience in project management/coordination
- Conversant with Early Childhood Care and Development issues
- Good report writing skills
- Experience in Community facilitation, networking, partnership development and management skills
