Our client in the Pharmacy Industry is looking for a Pharmacy Technician (2) positions to be based in
Kisumu town.
Summary Job Description

• To prepare and dispense prescribed medications and pharmaceutical preparations according to patients’ prescription.
• Provide advice for non-prescription medications
• Monitor drugs and other medical supplies levels and initiate the procurement process.
• Take inventory and track medication and supply orders
• Keep records of all drug stocks ordered, drugs issued to clients and stocks remaining.
• Prepare and submit reports on daily sales undertaken and achievement to management
• Make sure that merchandising of drugs is done well and drugs arranged in the required manner
• Establish and maintain good relationships with customers which includes clinics, doctors, hospitals and other institutions where applicable
• Perform cashier duties and manage daily reconciliations to include cash and daily stocks

Personal Attributes

• High level of motivation, organization, honesty, commitment and professional responsibility
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Accurate and detail oriented ( very strong requirement)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• University degree or Certificate in Pharmacy and registered with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (optional)
• Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya
• Minimum of two years work experience in a retail setting would be an added advantage
• Strong negotiation and customer care skills
• Ability to diagnose conditions and prescribe drugs over the counter is a strict requirement
• Highly computer literate with emphasis on MS Office and Excel
