Location: Msambweni, South Coast
Travel Required: N/ASummary: Support the lab technician and help carry out tests, research and investigations.
Role and Responsibilities

• Services and maintain the laboratory equipment in good working conditions
• Set up the laboratory for use when testing is taking place
• Perform inventory of equipment
• Setting up experiments or investigations
• Carrying out risk assessments for lab activities
• Collecting and analyzing samples
• Preparing solutions, cultures or specimens
• Recording and presenting data
• Ordering and controlling stock
• Disposing of chemicals and waste products in a safe way
• Making sure that equipment is clean and in good working order.
• Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• At least a Diploma in Laboratory Technology recognized by the Ministry of Health and Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and technologists Board council
• Registration with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board is a mandatory requirement.
• 1 year of practical experience
• Good clinical and laboratory practices training.
• Excellent communication skills
• Computer Literate
• Work with minimum supervision
