Our client, a premier budget Hotel Chain operating two establishments in Nairobi and soon opening a new unit in Kisumu, are looking for experienced candidates who are passionate about Hospitality to join their Kisumu opening team.
Food & Beverage Department
Senior Waiter – Kisumu Suites
(1 Position)
The Senior Waiter will assist the Assistant Manager F & B in the running of the Food Service department.
She / He will be responsible for providing a comprehensive food, functions and event service that is based on a welcome, hospitable, warm and the genuine desire to provide personal but not intrusive service through the delivery of high quality meals in a spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained environment.
Position Requirements:
- O Level Education
- Certification in F & B Training, Hotel Management / Supervision preferred
- 3 years work experience in Hospitality with 1year in a supervisory position.
- Knowledge of Computers with Fidelio, Micros and MC systems knowledge preferred.
(2 Positions)
The role holder will serve guests their beverage and food in a warm friendly and professional manner whilst adhering to all company rules and standards.
The Restaurant Waiter/Waitress is also supposed to drive the Hotel’s revenue by up selling the services and products available.
- Position Requirements:
- O Level Education
- Certification in F & B Training
- 1 year work experience in a similar role in a similar organization
- Knowledge of Computers and Fidelio system knowledge an added advantage
(1 Position)
The Barman’s role will be responsible for the management of the Unit’s bar, including the stocking and accounting for bar stocks and sales.
He / She will be responsible for meeting the bar beverage sales targets.
The position holder will be required to be knowledgeable on liquors as well as a wide range of cocktails and have the ability to creatively develop unique signature house cocktails.
Position Requirements:
- O Level Education
- Certification in F & B Sales and Service
- Hands-on experience in keeping the bar stocked and sanitized while always providing welcoming and caring service
- Special talent for adapting to different personalities of guests and co-workers without losing attention
- Adept at balancing cash receipts, generating bills and collecting money for food/drinks served
(1 Position)
The Maintenance Officer /Handyman will ensure that the Hotel, it’s facilities and equipment are maintained in safe, working and operable condition at all times.
He/she is in charge of the repair and maintenance of the hotel facility to ensure it does not fall into a state of disrepair and run down and also to supervise outsourced maintenance service providers where applicable.
Position Requirements:
- O Level Education
- Certification in applicable Technician trade
- 2 years work experience in repair and maintenance
- Holders of Technicians Trade Test certification or National Diploma preferred
