Vacancy: Head of Public Relations / CommunicationsHillcrest International Schools comprises of three schools; Hillcrest Early Years, Hillcrest Preparatory and Hillcrest Secondary / Senior School.
We admit students from 1 8 months to 1 8 years. We are an international British Curriculum based
learning institution located in Karen Nairobi and have a very conducive environment for learning and working
The post holder will play a key role in defining and developing strategies for all PR and communications initiatives aimed at improving the school’s image and profile.
S/he will be responsible to the CEO and will be working closely with the headteachers and other stakeholders for the promotion and marketing of the school as well as exploring new opportunities and markets for recruitment and publicity.
The objectives of the role is to sustain and increase current pupil numbers, help the school to reach the next stage of its development and nurture its reputation and relationships with parents and prospective parents, pupils, staff, feeder schools and nurseries and the wider community.
- A degree or equivalent experience in Public Relations, Marketing, Business or communications
- Prior experience in Public Relations, Marketing, and communications preferably in an International School or education institution
- Experience or ability to develop and implement strategies, policies and procedures for PR & communication
- Experience or ability to use online and social communication media as a marketing and communication tool
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability and experience to write briefing papers, articles and press releases.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and manage own workload
- Attention to detail and tenacity in following up leads
- Ability to produce and evaluate statistical data
- Prior experience in website or database management
