Lesphine Investments limited is a distribution and wholesaling company dealing with fast moving
consumer goods and is situated in Busia town within Busia County.
Lesphine Investments limited seeks to expand its capacities by recruiting a dynamic Kenyan national for the position of: internal credit sales representative/ invoicing clerk.

Job Description
As the title aptly puts it, a sales representative forms a part of the sales marketing department whose main responsibilities include picking orders from existing customers, prospecting and qualifying new customers and new commodity introduction to the market. Basically we are looking for a person who can grow both our sales volumes and customer base!
General Requirements
The sales representative must be able to convincingly sell all our existing products and introduce any new ones to the market. Sensitivity to the stiff market competition is a must!
He/she will also be required to have good product knowledge and convince customers to purchase as many product lines as possible customers. Being the point of contact between the company and the customer, this individual shall be required to have excellent public relations. Maintaining the customers account in conjunction with the accounting department shall also be required of him.
He/ she will also be expected to advise the marketing and operations manager on the general stock quantities of product and the ideal stock levels.
Profile
The ideal candidates will be:
a) Holders of a Diploma in Business Management or related studies
b) Must have at least 3 years practical experience in the distribution or manufacturing industry in the fast moving consumer goods industry. Demonstrated sales experience in Western Kenya will be an added advantage
c) Demonstrate proficiency in various computer packages
d) Good interpersonal skills
e) Holder of Kenya Accounting Technician Certificate (KATC)
f) Valid driving License
g) Good leadership and interpersonal skills
h) Excellent Customer relations
i) Integrity and self confidence
j) The ability and desire to sell
k) Excellent communication and presentation skills
l) Strong commercial awareness
m) A confident and determined approach
n) The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
o) The capacity to flourish in a competitive environment
p) Fluency in at least one local language, that is Teso, Luhya or Luo
q) Willingness to work under pressure and extended hours
r) Must be willing to live in Busia or Bondo towns of Western Kenya
Specific responsibilities
a) Qualifying prospective customers and recommending them to the accounting department and the marketing and operations department.
b) Picking orders from customers
c) Assisting with customer evaluation on performance
d) Advice the marketing and operations director on possible goods for procurement
e) Customer account management in conjunction with the debtors account officer
f) Forecasting sales
g) Develop out of the box ideas in conjuction with the rest of the sales and marketing department in order to grow sales
h) Ensure customer complaints are addressed
i) Give sales reports and related market feedback to the management
j) Identify and service new markets while maintaining the existing ones
k) Be sensitive to the price changes in order to advise on the appropriate pricing policy
l) Get customers particulars such as the legal business name, Personal Identification Number (PIN), Tax registration number and ensure all customer master files are duly updated
m) Ensure customer satisfaction at all times
n) Any other role assigned from time to time
