Looking for a Mortgage Professional: Our Client, the United Nations Federal Credit Union (UNFCU) is a member-owned, not-for-profit cooperative institution that serves the financial needs of the United Nations staff, UN specialized agencies, and their families globally.
In its quest to consolidate this global commitment and uphold the commitment to quality member service, UNFCU would like to recruit a performance driven, results oriented and innovative professional, to fill the position of Mortgage Coordinator, based in Nairobi.
This position requires extensive knowledge of the mortgage business in Kenya, high level of detail orientation and coordination of activity.
Reporting to the Nairobi Representative Office Manager, s/he will generally have the following accountabilities:
Originate, process, and close the Nairobi mortgage applications and compliance with applicable Federal, State, Kenyan and NCUA rules, regulations and laws;
Collaborate with the Consumer Lending Department, to schedule, coordinate, and prepare documents for closings and monitor status reports from attorneys, title companies and appraisers;
Investigate member account/loan issues, determine action necessary to resolve the issue, and ensure that this action is taken including follow-up on and resolve any post-closing issues that may compromise UNFCU’s security lien and the quality of the portfolio;
Complete sales tracking forms in accordance with procedures;
Prepare responses to member correspondence in accordance with UNFCU’s Corporate Communication Guidelines.
