Position Title: Technical Project Manager
Department: Healthcare
Reports to: Operations Manager – Healthcare
Role Type: One Year Contract Renewable on PerformancePrinciple Responsibilities & Position Purpose: As a Technical Project Manager you are the Senior technical resource on the ground to oversee all the regional work including site preparedness, civil works, equipment installation, site acceptance and hand over.
You are responsible for driving the various teams both internal and external to deliver project in your assigned region.
This position is responsible for:
Day to day site operations
Manage site communications and liaise between the client, contractor, specialized vendors and engineers
Ensuring delivery of all project specifications by different contractors,
Plan,manage and schedule project execution against the project plan,
Sign-off key contractors payment milestones,
Identify and proactively mitigate risks,
Facilitate and manage equipment testing and commissioning
Facilitate/manage radiation testing
Schedule, Facilitate and oversee end user training
Overall site documentation
Site handover, acceptance and sign-off.
Essential Functions1. Site Preparation / Readiness
Ensure site has all requisite requirements for project implementations
Ascertain site safety and security.
Review design documents, site layout drawings, checklists, workflows, specifications, low-level designs, implementation plans and testing documents in a timely manner for all work-streams.
Ensure site readiness through signed off checklists, before installation of any radiology or HCIT equipment.
Ensure all site approvals from the relevant authorities are obtained in a timely manner in liaison with the various contractors.
2. Communication
Call and chair daily contractors brief every morning
Communicate and liaise with client to facilitate any special/specific needs for the project, e.g late working hours or working late into the night.
Ensure proper and timely communication of all work stream/project tasks on a daily basis to the Program manager through the various project communication tools.
Maintain daily communications with the customer to ensure they are updated on project progress, issue resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction.
Consolidation of all field reports for onward transmission to the program manager.
Ensure Timely escalations of any identified project risk or issues to the Program manager and follow up on resolution and closure.
Identify and report all quality or compliance concerns in a timely manner to the Program manager.
Acts as the liaison between the field operations teams and Programme Manager.
Assess and Report any Environmental,Health and Safety issues in a timely manner e.g. accidents, injuries, etc.
3. Supervision
Manage and update site register and ensure only authorized personnel access the site.
Coordinate equipment delivery to site together with the logistics teams and ensure delivery notes are signed off by the respective signatories.
Oversee and provide direction for all work-stream subcontractors (civil, mechanical, electrical etc)
Plan, identify and monitor onsite implementation teams to ensure optimal distribution & utilization of resources.
Ensure thorough supervision and quality installations by the various contractors, by adhering to the documented specifications and quality standards as per client specifications.
Ensure Timely delivery of all work-stream tasks as per the master project plan in the assigned region.
4. Site acceptance and Hand over
Achieve customer satisfaction through the best possible site management and installation quality.
Schedule and communicate testing, commissioning and handover dates to all stake holders.
Ensure Site acceptance and sign off is achieved from all the relevant authorities.
Ensure project milestones are signed off in a timely manner by the relevant stakeholders as per the project schedule
Responsible for final site acceptance and hand over to customer
5. Training
Undergo continuous mandatory trainings as required including technical, management and environmental Health and Safety trainings.
Schedule for user onsite training and communicate to the programme manager
6. Health & Safety
Meet Health and Human Services, Environmental, Health and Safety requirements and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements.
Review health and safety site regulations and standards and ensure adherence of the same by all contractors and vendors.

Supportive Functions: In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of other supportive roles, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor
Attending all the company related events as required (Happiness, team party, techforum etc).
Other Duties: Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by the company from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.Safety Requirements: Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety.
The company will provide the required PPE. Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE.
It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to the Line Manager.Organisational Relationships

Strong computer literacy including knowledge of Windows XP and Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in basic mathematics and good analytical skills.
Ability to exercise independent judgement and discretion while performing various responsibilities.
Ability to prioritize workload; managing various projects and demands on a concurrent basis.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work quickly and under pressure to meet deadlines.
Knowledge of effective reporting and tracking systems for project planning and execution.
Good problem solving and research skills.
Qualifications
Diploma/higher national diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, mechanical or building and construction engineering, medical or Biomedical engineering or other related field from an accredited institution.
5+ years experience managing big technical projects in civil construction industry or a technology oriented organization.
Proven track record of successfully launching technology projects with geographically distributed teams in multi vendor environments
Strong project management skills with the ability to work on and track multiple projects simultaneously.
Project Management certification or relevant certifications in engineering will be an added advantage.
Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically when implementing projects and solving problems.
Technically savvy and able to ramp up and adapt to new technologies quickly
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical individuals.
Licenses or Certificates
Valid Driving License with over 3 years driving experience.
Certificate of good conduct
