PTA Bank Job Vacancy : Senior Investment Officer – Projects & Infrastructure Finance
March 16, 2015 Job Description
Reporting to the Director of Nairobi Regional Office, the Senior Projects and Infrastructure Officer is responsible for identifying, appraising, negotiating and monitoring the Bank’s investments – debt,
mezzanine, equity and other instruments in accordance with approved PTA Bank operational guidelines and business strategy. The position holder will be required to have strong client relationship skills and play multiple roles across the transaction cycle, including origination, negotiation, project development, technical transaction advisory, and project execution.
Desired Skills and Experience
A Masters degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Banking, Finance, Civil Engineering or Economics. Post graduate qualifications in project management/appraisal will have added advantage;
A minimum of 8 years of professional experience and proven track record in investments in financial industry, with a competitive and reputable financial institution, including experience in syndications in the context of multiple investment instruments;
A comprehensive knowledge of financial instruments including equity products, and risk management concepts and their applications with strong analytical, financial modelling and investment evaluation skills;
Proven organizational, analytical, problem solving, financial structuring, and decision making skills with the ability to build partnerships, lead multinational teams, deliver results and management client relationships at a senior level;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with high level of integrity;
Proficient in the use of computer programs including MS Office applications; and
Fluent in either English or French. Working knowledge of the other language shall be an added advantage.
