Purposethe job
Receives assignmentsin the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals.Provides direction to employees according to established policies and managementguidance. Administers company policies that directly affect subordinateemployees. Recommends changes to unit or sub-unit policies. Management reviews workto measure meeting of objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Provides technical expertise through sales presentations, productdemonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products.
Assists the salesstaff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customerneeds and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and Implementationof customer applications/solutions.
May build amini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility ofthe application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo forclient.
May provide softwaredevelopment and consultation to prospective users and/or product capabilityassessment and validation.
Ensures that theproduct application/solution is functioning according to specifications.
May provide follow-up support to company sales staff and customerpersonnel by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
Dimensions
Developingprofessional expertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve avariety of issues.
Fully qualifiedprofessionals who have advanced beyond entry level. Developing professionalexpertise, applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.Has working knowledge of company products and services.
Frequently interactswith functional peer groups. Interaction normallyrequires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations oftechnical information concerning specific projects or schedules.
Education & Experience
3 Year Engineering Degree – Essential
3 – 5 years’ experience in a Technical / Engineering Sales Support / Solutions Architect role in a multinational FMCG organisation is Essential
Technical Sales experience is Essential
Fluent in English, verbal andwritten in addition to local language
