We are a rose grower and exporter of fresh cut flowers to the European market seek to fill the following position;
Vacancy: Irrigation Manager
Responsibilities
Supervise the farm irrigation works, including the installation of new irrigation lines and fertigation units.
Being in charge of all irrigation system including pump house and ensuring that the plants are feed with adequate nutrients and the irrigation system including drip lines are working efficiently.
In charge of developing a working feeding regime / programme for the farm
Conduct regular soil and plant analysis and interpreting the same to the management.
Ensures proper feeding with the correct amount of water and fertilizers.
Determine accurate amount of water to give to the crop and detecting any nutritional disorders and making quick remedial measures.
Guiding on any installation of irrigation systems and plumbing
The Person
Diploma in Horticulture /Agriculture
At least 3 years’ experience in flower farm
Well vast with the operations of a computerised irrigation systems e.g Priva
A person of high integrity
