An organization, whose purpose is to transform African Businesses into Global Brands through innovation, strategy and business alignment, is looking to recruit a commercially oriented Marketing Manager for two of its brands – Kava & Zeepo.
Job Title: Marketing Manager
Reports to: Strategy DirectorScope: This position exists to develop and execute marketing strategies to meet revenue objectives.
This position will be responsible for the effective management of the marketing, advertising and promotional activities for brands that are in the financial services sector.Specific Roles and Responsibilities
Develop, manage and coordinate direct marketing strategies, initiatives, plans and budget
Drive the achievement of revenue through marketing activities
Conduct surveys to identify opportunities to engage new segments, introduce new products/services or deepen existing ones
Evaluate the financial implications of new and existing product/service, such as commercial viability, pricing, budgets and ROI
Plan and execute direct marketing activations
Conduct and Manage the process of collecting and analysing data on success of marketing initiatives
Negotiate with suppliers and distribution channel partners to maximise their support in marketing and marketing initiatives roll-out
Roll out integrated marketing communication initiatives to promote visibility and awareness
Source for and manage 3rd party vendors and agencies on marketing deliverables and output
Ensure standards and consistency is maintained in Brand identity applications
Direct performance evaluations of brand executives and oversee their daily activities
Candidate Profile
Minimum 3 years working in a similar position
Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
Experience in all aspects of developing and maintaining marketing strategies
Technical marketing skills
Strong Project management skills
Commercially-oriented individual
Proven experience in conducting major customer and market research
Excellent written, verbal, presentation and communication skills
