Job Title: Credit Management OfficerDepartment:
Credit DepartmentLocation: Nairobi
Reports to: BDMMain Tasks and Responsibilities
Credit
To sign up new and potential clients in accordance with credit policy.
To analyze and identify credit risks related to our existing and potential portfolio and address them in accordance with our policies and guidelines
To write up and defend credit proposals to the credit committee and follow through all the related procedures until final draw-down
To continuously monitor and assess your assigned credit portfolio in accordance with our policies and guidelines
To maintain a quality credit portfolio in order to achieve set targets.
To maintain Credit documents and files to a standard stipulated by our policies and procedures
Identify and develop company’s unique selling products and niche market and
Marketing
Identify and effectively market the organization’s products to existing and potential client groups (acquisition and cross sell)
Identify new target markets and products sets that are in compliance with our strategy and mission. The ability to generate new products and markets will be key to this position
Organize and conduct road shows, seminars and other fora that will increase our public awareness and exposes us to new and existing client groups
Participate in and effectively contribute to the frequent seminars and forums that characterize the micro finance industry
Administration
To effectively delegate and deputize other key positions in the organization as you may be called to do from time to time
Any other assignment as may be assigned by the Business Development Manager
Job Specifications
Minimum Academic Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Commerce, or Business, Marketing or Accounting related field
Work Experience
3 years relevant experience, preferably in a financial institution
Other Skills
Exercise high level of interpersonal skills,
Good knowledge Microfinance environment,
Ability to establish trends and make projections,
Good written and verbal English
Ability to write good reports,
Able to coordinate and plan with limited supervision.
