CIC Insurance Group consists of three subsidiaries; CIC General Ltd, CIC Life Assurance Ltd and CIC Asset Management Ltd; currently CIC has businesses operating all over Kenya with 19 branches.
In order to execute its ambitious growth and expansion strategy, CIC wishes to recruit high caliber individuals to fill the following position:
Database AdministratorJob Purpose: A critical function in the ICT Department.
Duties & Responsibilities
1st level support for the medical systems.
User training for the medical systems
System administration and development
Systems enhancement and testing of new deployments.
Performance tuning for the datable
System enhancement and testing.
System administration and development
Database performance tuning.
User training for the medical systems.
Regional office user support on medical systems.
Academic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Related IT Degree
Professional Qualifications
OCA/OCP
Linux certification or equivalent
Relevant Work Experience
3 Years.
Experience in any 4th generation language e.g. PL/S QL
Skills, Knowledge and Competencies
Knowledge of Turnquest suite systems
Good problem solving skills
High integrity
Proactive and self-driven, ready to work beyond normal working hours
