The successful incumbent will be expected to oversee
all business development activities ensuring that all financial targets are

achieved; utilise market intelligence to optimise sales opportunities, build
rapport with customers, ensure excellent call planning, and devise marketing
initiatives to enhance BASF Constructions Chemicals position in the market,.
You will be expected to work closely with BASF colleagues, distributors and
applicators to ensure best possible customer service, help resolve conflict
within the sales and application process. You will also be responsible
to drive internal communications activities; provide sales, stock and
forecasting information as required by the management team, liaise with management
on the status of the projects, technical issues, stock issues as well as
political and service issues. You will be expected to take a proactive position
to identify possible barriers and to develop strategies to secure and achieve
sales objectives
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate should possess a relevant tertiary qualification in Construction or Technical with English, Maths and Engineering subjects. Candidates must have good understanding of the construction industry in Kenya and East Africa. Ability to set and monitor performance goals as well as understanding key drivers are critical for this role. Candidates must be customer service oriented, results and change driven and must have the ability to collaborate within and across the unit to seek opportunities and achieve value adding results.
