Job: BANCASSURANCE RELATIONSHIP OFFICER
Title BANCASSURANCE RELATIONSHIP OFFICER
Reporting To BANCASSURANCE MANAGER
Description JOB PURPOSE
To manage the day to day underwriting and claims functions and provide general administration of the department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of day to day underwriting and claims processes
  • Working with underwriters, clients, Credit Department, Branch teams and other third party providers to ensure strict adherence to set guidelines and TAT on business placement, policy issuance and risk management recommendations
  • Ensure timely submission of policy documents and other insurance covers to Credit/branches/ clients
  • Ensure premium is collected from policyholders and remitted to underwriters as per the laid down procedures on all business underwritten and paced
  • Coordinate commissions payment by underwriters
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Documentation handling and maintenance of filing system
  • Monitor administrative costs e.g. office stationery usage and ordering in good time
  • Regularly review the underwriting and claims processes and offer recommendation on necessary measures to improve efficiency
  • Keep management updated on any changes in the underwriting market that could impact the business
         QUALIFICATIONS, COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • University Degree preferably business related
  • Certificate of Proficiency in Insurance and/or other insurance qualification
  • Minimum of 2 years in insurance industry
  • Experience in Bancassurance will be an added advantage
