The successful candidate will join a new team, and their primary role will be to deal with reservations enquiries for the lodge. This is an agent-facing position and day-to-day responsibilities would include:
- Fielding and converting enquiries from local and international agents
- Ensuring all requisite pre-arrival guest information has been obtained
- Invoicing and collecting deposits and payments
- Liaising with the lodge to ensure a seamless handover to the operations team
- Maintaining current knowledge of the guest experience and commercial terms
- Resolving any issues and complaints from agents swiftly and amicably
Desired Skills and Experience
Angama is looking for a highly-motivated Sales Consultant who:
- Is proudly Kenya
- Is attentive to the very last level of detail, with strong administrative skills
- Communicates well both verbally and in writing
- Has a can do attitude
- Can keep their sense of humour in the midst of a crisis
- Can provide prompt and efficient service
There are no formal qualification requirements, though candidates with any or all of the following will be at a distinct advantage:
- A track record of excellent customer service
- A tertiary education
- Experience with safari lodge reservations systems
- Knowledge of luxury East African safari products
The successful candidate would report to the Guest Operations Manager, and remuneration will be market-related. This is a full-time position.
