We are a Kenyan school seeking to recruit a highly motivated, dynamic, innovative and result oriented professional, seeking to join the school in the following position:
Human Resource Officer
This position reports to the Head of Operations and is charged with maintaining the human resource information system, employee records and coordinating various HR administrative functions.
Responsibilities
Formulate and facilitate implementation of human resource policies, practices and procedures and ensure compliance with legislation and regulations as regards recruitment, training, discipline procedures and staff separation.
Draft job advertisements, screen applications and provide technical support during the recruitment process.
Review departmental recruitment requests and make proposals for consideration
Facilitate maintenance of up to date and accurate staff records and filing system.
Coordinate training programs.
Maintains the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
Ensures timely communication to and from service providers.
In charge of staff orientation program for new employees
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
A minimum of a University Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management
At least two years’ work experience in a dynamic human resources role.
Good ICT knowledge
Understanding and practical knowledge of the Kenya Labour Laws.
Good reporting skills and proficiency in the use of presentation tools
A high level of integrity, excellent conceptual, reporting, communication, team relations, analytical, planning and coordination skills.
