Position: Marketing Officer

Our client, a leading SACCO is seeking to recruit for the position of a Marketing Officer.
The ideal candidate will be in charge of Improving product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities; improving product packaging and coordinating new product development.
The candidate MUST have excellent communication and presentation skills with minimum of three years as a marketer in recognized firms.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring all adverts and publications are properly drafted in accordance to set guidelines and standards as well as published within set timelines while enhancing the image of the society.
Conducting market research and competitor analysis regularly with the aim of determining customer needs, demands potential and improving on the products.
Liaising with the GM on new innovations and how they are influencing the marketing efforts.
Supporting the development of the Website and Social Sites, ensuring that it is regularly updated and organizing events.
Developing marketing plan geared towards members and potential members in line with the society’s strategic plan, targets and budgets.
Preparing monthly bulletin and ensure that it is sent out within the stipulated timelines.
Drafting and coordinating dissemination all communication to Members and General Public.
Meeting marketing financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Marketing or an Advanced Diploma in Marketing.
Certificate of Chartered Institute of Marketing.
Computer proficiency in computer application.
