Position title: Research Manager

Location: Nairobi

Salary: 40,000 – 50,000Our client, a leading research company is seeking a well qualified individual to fill the position of Research Manager.

Job Summary: You will be responsible for ensuring that the whole research process is successfully executed and that the research objectives are met.


Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the whole research process and oversees the research team
Responsible for preparing proposals and tenders
Manage client accounts
Prepare job costings
Upon being awarded a job, plans field work and selects a team
Prepare tools guided by research methodology
Assist Finance and admin in the preparation of budgets for the field work
Carries out team briefings
Ensures contractual agreements are signed.
Plans the logistical process
Conducts dummy pilot interviews
Dispatch team to fields with all the necessary tools
Continuously monitor team in the field (quality control – done by supervisor, reviewing hard copy questionnaires, keeping track of resources such as PDA, recorder)
Guide and oversee data processing and coding of verbatims and data capture
Liaise with client in data quality checks including data cleaning
Leads data analysis statistics and ensures data matrix is adequate
Responsible for quality control including to ensure tables make sense
Compile reports and send top line report to client as well as deal with questions from clients
Submit final report to client which may require presentation
Ensure accounts team invoices client and follows up collection
Responsible for getting feedback from clients
Ensure all the documentation and proof is well maintained
Manages and develops the research and office team
Education & Experience
A Bachelors in any Social Sciences Degree
At least 5 years solid experience in research field
MUST have at least 3 years in supervising research processes
Statistical analysis skills required
Client service skills
Skills
Strong Research Project Management skills
Good management and leadership skills
Strong planning skills
A good understanding of data management
Good interpersonal skills
Mature
