Job Title: Regional Procurement Manager (Sub-Saharan Africa with a scope of over 8 countries)



Main Purpose of the Job

To lead and manage the organization’s procurement section in the design and implementation of Strategy, systems, policies, processes and procedures for the region in scope while ensuring alignment to the international and local legislative requirements and standards by both the organizations head office and countries.

Main Responsibilities

· Leading in the design of strategy, implementation of both strategy and policies and design of procurement systems while advising leadership and managing a robust team in the area of responsibility.

· Ensuring design and implementation of the procurement , governance, monitoring & evaluation systems to deliver TOTAL SERVICE DELIVERY, COMPLIANCE AND GOVERNANCE

· Regionally manage, monitor and evaluate implementation of the countries policies, processes and procedures

· Leading the teams in the procurement and accountability of both Services & Goods for all countries in scope

· Overseeing and advising on the procurement of items

· Lead in the management of new set-ups for the organization, including projects


· Setting standards and criteria for supplier qualification and selection in line with local and international legislative guideline and standards in Tender management.

· Leading and guiding procurement negotiations to ensure best value for the organization while managing the procurement & projects budgets

· Ability to understand international & local markets in all aspects to provide management data for current and future use.

· Determining and coordinating departmental reports while managing a high performing Procurement team

Academic Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in a Business related field

· Diploma in Purchasing & Supplies, and a Membership of CIPS

· At least 2 years relevant experience with a high performing track record
