Daraja United Women and Youths Empowerment (DAUWOYE) is a local Non-Governmental Organization based in Kisii County.
The organization seeks to provide quality health care for communities especially in the area of Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) with focus on women and youth.

DAUWOYE is seeking to employ qualified, experienced, and motivated individuals in the positions stated below; to implement a three-year project that aims to combat unsafe abortions and expand integrated family planning services within Kisii County.One Year Renewable Contracts

1. Project Coordinator
Kisii
Reporting to the programs director, the project coordinator will provide overall coordination of project activities and technical support to health facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities
Work with partners to identify and address capacity gaps for delivery of project objectives
Ensure regular monitoring and evaluation of project activities and services
Work with DAUWOYE finance staff to support and monitor programmatic and financial performance of project.
Constantly and effectively address emerging project issues
Write program reports and ensure timely reporting to the donor
Stay updated on SRH service delivery and advocacy issues relevant to DAUWOYE”’s work and write abstracts and articles for publication and conferences presentations
Collaborate and work with other partners to leverage resources in implementing the project
Complete special projects as assigned and required.
Education and Experience: A diploma or a bachelor’s degree in nursing or clinical medicine and a minimum of five years of experience implementing family planning and comprehensive abortion care related projects in a NGO setting.

2. Project Finance & Admin Officer
Kisii
Strengthen DAUWOYE’s financial systems and monitor and manage project expenditure and budgets.
This will involve financial tracking, analysis and providing financial data for use in reporting, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities
Provide leadership in strengthening of the financial systems
Code, track and process invoices, vouchers, advances, expense reports and other schedules to ensure completeness, accuracy, reasonability and validity.
Prepare payment documents including payroll and related deductions, advances and various schedules.
Write cheques and manage bank reconciliations.
Prepare and maintain internal documents for financial reports; monitor spending performance and ensure that financial reports are accurate and timely.
Review project progress and financial reports and work closely with program staff to resolve and follow up project financial and audit issues.
Continuously review accounting procedures, internal controls and financial reports of the organization
Perform risk assessments and establish risk mitigation plans.
Education and Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, commerce or business administration.
CPA (II)/ACCA qualification,
Minimum of three years experience in grants management in an NGO set-up managing funds from various international donors would be an added advantage.
A good understanding of quick books and procurement practices is necessary.
3. Clinical Officer – Kisii will provide technical support to health facilities in the area of service delivery with a bias for clinical quality assurance.

Duties and Responsibilities
Support health facilities to implement a Family Planning and Comprehensive Abortion Care services
Work with project coordinator to identify and address service delivery capacity needs for facilities.
Coordinate with MOH and partners to provide specialized training and technical assistance to health facilities.
Work with project team to ensure service standards and quality control mechanisms are in place at service delivery points
Work with project team to monitor service delivery indicators
Write program reports
Participate in writing abstracts and articles for publication and conference presentation.
Complete special projects as assigned and required.
Education and Experience: A diploma or a bachelor’s degree in health related field and a minimum of five years of experience as a clinical officer preferably in a sexual and reproductive health (SRH) setting.

4. Nurse – Kisii
Will provide SRH services at the health facility

Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct medical examinations, and provide treatment at both scheduled and unscheduled visits, refer clients to appropriate providers for specialized management of their conditions.
Provide Comprehensive Abortion Care (CAC) & Family Planning (FP) services to clients with focus on LARC
Provide counseling to CAC & FP clients on modern methods of contraception.
Work with community health volunteers to create demand for CAC and FP services.
Integrate Family Planning into existing services.
Ensure relevant data are accurately and consistently captured, case reports completed and overall reports submitted as required.
Any other official duties as may be assigned.
Education and Experience: A diploma or a bachelor’s degree in nursing and a minimum of three years of experience providing family planning and comprehensive abortion care related services in a high volume health facility. Must be registered with relevant professional body

5. Pharm-Technologist
Kisii
Responsible for supporting the project team on prescribed medications, supplies and related processes

Duties and Responsibilities
Establish a commodity management and supplies system
Ensure that policies and procedures regarding procurement, storage, preparation and delivery of pharmaceuticals in health facilities are in place and functional
Processes project orders for commodities and medications
Procure supplies and medications following standard purchasing guidelines
Manage stock of supplies and medications; and provide up-to date documentation on inventory
Deliver supplies and medications to project facilities
Complete special projects as assigned and required.
Education and Experience: Certificate/diploma in pharmacy and a minimum of three years of experience as a pharmacy technologist preferably in a sexual and reproductive health (SRH) setting.

6. M&E Officer
Kisii
Provide support for project monitoring and evaluation activities

Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and a functional project M&E system for timely data collection, reporting and information sharing.
Provide technical support to staff to collect and collate data.
Work with project team to implement the M&E plan and tools.
Provide training and TA on use of M&E tools.
Provide technical support to POs on analysis of project reports.
Compile and manage project data.
Documentation of best practices and lessons learnt.
Together with programme officer and data clerk, conduct facility visits to validate data
Complete special duties as assigned and required.
M&E Officer Required Education and Experience: A Diploma or a Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of three years of experience, in sexual and reproductive health (SRH) program monitoring and evaluation.

7. Data Clerk
Kisii
Reporting to the M&E officer, the data clerk will be responsible for:

Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure an orderly, dated and secure data collection from source documents;
Ensure facility based records are kept and can be easily retrieved
Assist in generating summaries
Any other duties that may be assigned
Education and Experience: Diploma in social science, experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection, data interpretation skills, knowledge of data analysis software is mandatory, demonstrated interpersonal strengths.

8. Driver will provide logistical, transport and office support for the project in Kisii.

Duties and Responsibilities
Drive office vehicle on official trips as necessary
Ensure vehicle is well maintained and properly equipped
Maintain vehicle records such as mileage
Perform office duties including cleaning, photocopying, distribution and logistics
Education and Experience:
Minimum O-level education and a certificate of good conduct.
Good knowledge of Kenya traffic laws and holder of a valid driving license.
Good understanding of 4×4 vehicles maintenance and trouble shooting.
A minimum of five years driving experience of which three years should be within Kisii County.
A mechanic certificate is an added advantage.
