Job Vacancy: Internal Auditor Applicants should be holders of a
First degree from a recognized University, CPA (K) in or its equivalent
Membership to a professional Accountancy body
At least 7 years relevant experience, of which should be as an Internal Auditor or Accountant.
Membership of a Recognized professional body e.g. CISA, CIA etc will be an added advantage.
The successful candidate will carry out
Risk assessment in consultation with line managers,
Prepare risk based audit plans,
Execute detailed audit procedures including reviewing
transactions,
documents
records when need arises,
Review internal controls with respect to the mandate of the department and give recommendations to ensure compliance with existing laws policies, regulations and instructions,
Review audit working papers.
Develop review audit guidelines ad systems,
Design and develop sound internal auditing systems responsive to the Needs of the company
Ensure the maintenance of high audit standards within their areas,
Carry out investigations competently when need arises
Provide assistance to external auditors when requested
Supervise and train on the job staff working under him/her
Any other duties that may be assigned by management
