Aim of the job:
Community Life Center – Life (CLC-Life) is a new business venture that is part of the Philips Africa Innovation Hub.
CLC-Life is a comprehensive solution for primary healthcare facilities, combining healthcare strengthening with community development. The solution aims to bring a significant sustainable improvement to the performance of primary health facilities.
The solution consists of technology (e.g. solar energy, LED-lighting, refrigeration, medical devices, water supply, IT) and services (project development, assessment and design, implementation and training, monitoring and support). A first pilot was implemented at Githurai in partnership with Kiambu County. This pilot is showing strong improvement in patient volumes and quality of service. There is a strong market pull for the solution, both from public as well as private healthcare providers. First commercial projects are expected in 2015.
The CLC-Consultant participates in the end-to-end execution of Community Life Center projects, including assessment, design, implementation and hand-over to monitoring and support.
Project activities should be executed timely and with a first-time right approach, ensuring high customer satisfaction and optimizing project cost.
Key areas of responsibilities:
· Project execution:
o Perform assigned project activities timely and with high quality. Project activities can include:
§ Assessment of Primary Health Facilities (PHFs)
§ Design of CLC-solution for PHFs
§ Training of PHF-staff on use and maintenance of CLC-solution
§ Organizing logistics of CLC-components to PHF-site
§ Demand management of communities served by CLC
§ Handover of project to monitoring and support organization whilst ensuring continuity of customer service
o Report on progress of assigned activities
o Escalate relevant issues inside the organization to assure high level of reactivity and problem resolution
· Manage customer relation:
o Build understanding of customer need
o Maintain a professional customer relationship
Identify commercial opportunities at client

· Net Promoter Score (NPS)
· Initial Quality (IQ)
· Continuous Quality (CQ)
Project execution:
· Compliance with project planning
· Quality of project activities and deliverables
Escalation management
Education & Experience:
· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Project Management or equivalent
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in project execution
· Strong understanding of primary healthcare
· Good sense of business
· Good understanding of the related products and business
· Strong IT-skills (including MS-Office)
· Fluent in English, verbal and written in addition to local language
