They seek to recruit a Primary School Principal to be the general overseer,
ensure progress and smooth running of the school.

Key Responsibilities
- Create, implement and oversee curriculum delivery strategies that will promote the institution as a centre of academic excellence.
- Take part in collaborative activities within the Ministry of Education’s programme especially at county level, including test development, marking of examinations and officiating at co-curriculum events.
- Evidence of ability to handle at least two examinable subjects at KCPE level.
- Student-oriented philosophy and skill set.
- Technology competencies appropriate to 21st century educators.
- A commitment to extra-curricular activities beyond the normal teaching day.
- Provides activities which facilitate the professional growth of the school staff and enhance the quality of the instructional programs.
- Oversee faculty staff and make decisions that impact the overall educational success of the school.
- Assist the Board in the development of academic and other school policies.
- Interpret and enforce the academic policies of the Board.
- Manage and supervise all the academic activities of the school.
- Motivate and monitor the performance of teachers.
- Keep the Board up to date on all the academic aspects of the school.
- Act as representative of the Board and the school in interacting with the general public, governmental agencies and other external stakeholders.
- Participate in the recruitment of staff, and conduct periodic faculty evaluations and performance reviews.
- Manage faculty and student disciplinary procedures.
- Lead and instruct the staff to conduct educational programs as per curriculum, time schedule, education policy and vision of the school.
Qualification / Requirements
- A Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Education.
- TSC P 1 teachers with over 5 years’ continuous service and experience in administration will be considered.
- Technology competencies appropriate to 21st Century educators
- Must have been or currently involved in actual administration of a 8-4-4 private primary school with an enrolment of over 400 pupils
- Must have worked for 5-10 years in a similar capacity at a reputable private primary school with a proven track record of achieving good results at least at provincial level
- Preferably between 35 – 45 years of age
- Demonstrate ability to initiate/suggest ideas that can improve/develop the school in all aspects including academic and extra- curricular activities.
- Experience in people management.
- Energetic, self-driven and of high integrity.
- Communicates clearly and in a concise manner.
- Strong leadership skills
- Demonstrated team-building skills and success leading collaborative learning teams
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Energetic, goal-oriented and self-motivated, with an optimistic, “can-do” approach to challenges and change.
- Integrity and clarity in personal values—which must include love of learning and valuing students as individuals.
