Moyie Foundation is a Non-Governmental Organization working in Nyando,
Muhoroni and Nyakach sub counties of Kisumu County with its offices
based in Ahero.
The
organization’s mission is, to strengthen the capacity of widows,
Orphans and Vulnerable Children to alleviate the impact of poverty and
HIV/AIDS.
Nowa Moyie Foundation is seeking to recruit a Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant to perform the functions outlined belowResponsibilities
- Managing day to day M&E activities which include submission of timely and accurate monthly and quarterly reports to the management.
- Design appropriate monitoring tools and strengthen data collection system
- Strengthen documentation of implementation activities
- Assist in data analysis for compilation of quarterly, annual and ad hoc program data
- Collect, compile and analyze data and reports and create consolidated progress reports.
- Support teams review and reflect on project implementation processes to enhance learning and replication of best practices
- Provide support to implement the M&E plan, revise and update performance questions, indicators, methods, formats and analytical processes.
- Verify performance information provided by program teams to ensure accuracy
- Enhance community M&E mechanisms/structures through participatory processes.
- Facilitate documentation and reporting of assessments, program data, case studies, best practice and lessons learned for internal and external sharing.
- Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities appropriate to the position level from time to time.
Critical Competencies
- Strong analytical and report writing skills.
- Good understanding of project planning, implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation processes.
- Good contextual knowledge of local issues, community priorities, organizational relationships.
- Knowledge of statistical computer packages.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong results orientation and Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Diploma level education in Social Science / Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Special training in IT/statistics / development related studies
- At least 2 years of experience preferable NGO related.
- Knowledge and experience with NGO operations programming
- Knowledge and Use of computer packages
Terms & Conditions
- One year contract – renewable depending on performance and availability of funds.
