Job Description

• Enthusiastic and competitive sales manager who is willing to establish strong relationships and ensure that growth targets are met. The role involves liaising with distribution partners with focus on growing a new brand in the East African market. The individual should be able to demonstrate strong willingness to be on the ground and establish a strong sales foundation in all the growth countries. Should also be able to demonstrate strong networking skills with top management of operators and other channel partners. Will report directly into our management and be the brand’s respresentative in the East African market.
• Responsible for the attainment of sales objectives
• Develops a field sales team to excel in sales goals to achieve both revenue and unit objectives
• Manage customer relationships through communication between sales, merchandising and distributions operations
• Builds, creates and fosters relationships between Despec and its customers
• Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates
• Delivers sales presentations to key customers
• Develops independent retail division to sell directly to customers
• Ensures the execution of marketing plans agreed with suppliers
• Continuously promotes brand and business expansion and goes over and above the responsibilities listed above.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Business degree is a plus
• Several years of Sales experience in the consumer electronics is a requirement
• Mobile experience and an acute understanding of retail environments is a definite plus
• Needs to have prior experience of working directly with resellers
• Experienced from a lead role within sales-led environment
• Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive Channel sales strategy
• Proven ability to win new business, develop existing BP relationship and execute effective trade marketing programs
• Thorough knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and procedures
• Highly motivated and willing to succeed
• Must be willing to travel
