Vecna Cares seeks a self-motivated individual to join our team in Transmara Kenya. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in technology and healthcare, possess excellent oral and written communication skills, and be a creative problem solver. As a field officer, you will support our team with the training of healthcare workers, the deployment and troubleshooting of hardware, and on-going support of 30+ clinics through phone calls and site visits. The position is based in Kilgoris, Transmara County of Kenya. Vecna Cares is partnered with the District Health Management Team (DHMT) in Transmara East/West in developing, deploying and supporting an electronic health record at primary health care clinics. Our product, the CliniPAK, is a hardware/software solution which provides networking and power management in rural low-infrastructure areas, while providing an easy-to-use interace for healthcare workers to easily and accurately capture patient data. This effort is critical in improving the accuracy and timeliness of reports, while providing patients with better care. This is a full-time role with a stipend.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure good standards of working practice are maintained at CliniPAK sites.
• Maintain good working relationships between Vecna Cares, Transmara DHMT, and health care workers Conduct regular site visits for maintenance and issue solving.
• Execute requisite remedies for issue solving.
• Carry out accurate activity reporting via CommCare.
• Assisting in training and deployment.
• Other tasks as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Healthcare, technology, management or related field.
• Fluent in Kiswahili and English.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise effectively with co-workers.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to exercise sound judgment.
• Willing to undertake extensive travel within Transmara and Narok County.
• Strong oral and written communications skills.
• Comfortable using computers and standard applications (databases, e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets, etc.
