The World Bank/CGAP requires a Senior Drupal Web developer to help with the maintenance and continues growth of CGAP’s online presence by supporting the development activities needed for CGAP’s core cgap.org site. Also, this developer is required to support the redesign and migration of the Gateway and its language sites into Drupal 7, and any additional technology applications. The consultant will help with the ongoing growth and maintenance of cgap.org and other CGAP Drupal sites. Also, the Senior Web developer will help with the design, development, testing and implementation of code and applications for the Gateway sites including the front and back end. The responsibilities for this position include:
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for technical issues/bugs encountered in CGAP’s
Drupal sites. (CGAP.org, MicrofinanceGateway.org, WorkSpace.cgap.org, GPFI.org,)
Develop, maintain, customize/modify, and configure Drupal modules, including Solr.
Provide front end development for interactive features.
Help to ensure CGAP sites comply with the World Bank OIS, WPO and other standards.
Maintain and make modifications to the sites themes and/or front-end development.
Create and maintain Drupal views and content types.
Work with the Communications team and assist in defining requirements for new initiatives such as usability audit recommendations.
Keep current with Drupal core and module improvements, and security patches and updates to comply with OIS accreditations.
Validate Drupal upgrades in Virtual Host, DEV, and QA environments and provide recommendations for upgrades.
Assist customer team in developing and deploying other sites and deploying in a multi-site configuration.
Prioritize tasks and interact well within a team environment.
Solve problems quickly and follow protocols and resolution procedures.
Document current and future configuration processes and policies
Assist in debugging issues with hosting applications, cloud resources and Content Delivery Network (CDN).
Participate in 24×7 on-call support –if needed.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, plan, and implement changes.
Contribute improvements to custom modules back to the community, as appropriate
How to Apply
Applicants MUST have the following minimun requirements in order to be elegible to apply for this position.
A Master’s of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or similar
8 years of proven experience on these software languages: PHP , AJAX , HTML, CSS, JavaScript
6 years of experience on database: MySQL, MS Access, and CMS development: Drupal 6, and 7.
4 years of proven experience on Drupal Modules: Solr, multilingual, Features, Drush, and developing custom modules.
4 years of experience on Operating Systems: LINUX
2 year of experience on Mobile applications: Responsive Design, Mobile Web, Android, JM2E, SMS –preferred.
Good Interpersonal and team skills; the ability to work effectively with a team
