Our business deals in sales and marketing of: pharmaceuticals, non-pharmaceuticals, laboratory reagents/accessories and medical equipments. We offer services including installation, improvement, repair and servicing of medical equipment.

Purpose of the Position: We are looking for committed freshly graduated biomedical engineers/technologists, who will be involved in a project data collection and implementation of recommendations arising from the study. S/he will support patient diagnosing and treatment by installing, testing, calibrating, and repairing biomedical equipment; training users; maintaining safe operations as nuclear responsibility.
Role
Primary Duties
S/he will plan field activities for each day and arranging for all required logistics for the visits.
Information gathering through observation, professionally assessment of medical equipment and interviewing selected individuals.
Collection and entry of data using computer-based packages.
Analyze and report the collected data.
S/he will develop leads to medical facilities requiring repair or servicing of their equipment.
Core Duties
Approves new biomedical equipment by conducting tests; ensuring adherence to codes; making modifications.
Installs new biomedical equipment by establishing, adjusting, calibrating, and testing performance.
Maintains biomedical equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; conducting tests; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions; calling for special service; evaluating service contracts; maintaining equipment inventories.
Directs biomedical equipment operation by providing equipment operation demonstrations; instructing other healthcare staff in use and care of equipment; answering questions; providing information.
Evaluates proposed biomedical equipment by conducting tests and evaluations.
Improves biomedical equipment performance by studying machine-patient interaction; conferring with equipment users; developing modifications; collaborating with equipment manufacturers.
Maintains biomedical equipment supplies inventory by checking stock; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
Prepares biomedical reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
Maintains patient confidence by keeping information confidential.
Maintains safe and healthy working environment by conducting safety tests; recommending and complying with procedures; training and guiding medical and healthcare personnel; complying with codes.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications; maintaining personal networks.
Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Requirements
S/he should have a diploma/technical training/degree in biomedical engineering, biomedical science technology or bioengineering.
No experience requirement, however someone with field experience is quite preferred.
Should be currently residing in Western Kenyan Counties (formerly Nyanza and Western Provinces) and have good knowledge of medical facilities in these regions. Otherwise, they should have a means of living around in these regions.
Knowledge of computer programming is highly preferred while proficiency in computer skills i.e. Ms Office is mandatory.
Should be creative, calm and highly motivated.
