Vacancy: Chief Accountant
Salary: 550KOur client a multinational company is urgently recruiting the above position in Nairobi

Qualifications:

• Fully qualified accountant e.g. CPA (K)/ACCA/etc.
• Degree in business related discipline
• Experience in direct involvement of working with ERP systems
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Chief Accountant in a large organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations
• Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Budgeting
• Ensuring statutory returns (e.g. VAT, Withholding Tax) are filed on a timely basis
• Preparing Monthly Management Accounts
• Liaison with external Auditors, ensuring Financial Statements prepared by the Auditors are accurate and in line with the local and IFRS regulations
• Preparing daily Bank Balances and Cash flows
• Ensuring processes, checks and controls within the department are followed as per the requirements
• Monitoring implementation of processes, checks and controls within the department
• Any other work assigned by the management
