Airtel Networks Job Vacancy : Intelligent Network and VAS Engineer

 Job description

Will be in charge of all IN and VAS nodes performance and services in Airtel Kenya Networks.

Handling Complete IN (Intelligent Network) and VAS daily operational functionality by managing the responsible MS partner.

Maintaining customer’s satisfaction on IN/VAS related services.

Understanding marketing products concept notes requirements and be involved in the design, configuration & execution phases of testing with the Managed services partners as well as all other cross functional teams.

Monitoring and supporting deployment, Upgrades, Migration & Expansions of services in the IN network.

Monitoring, analyzing and maintaining good KPIs for different IN Elements (SDP, AIR, VS, CCN, MINSAT, EMM, EMA, CRS & IVR) and VAS nodes (SMSC, USSD Gateway, VMS/MCA etc) as per Bharti Group Network planning guidelines.

Maintaining a SVCL (Self Validation Check List) for all IN/VAS platforms services and functionalities, that will be reviewed on a weekly basis with the Network Services Manager to.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Must have a vast knowledge in IN and VAS platforms
• Having good knowledge on Architecture of Intelligent Network (IN) and working for WIN (Wire less Intelligent Network).
• Having good Knowledge on Intelligent Network of Prepaid Services of Ericsson’s Intelligent Network Platform will be an added advantage.

Experiences:

• Have Sound knowledge and hands on experience in different modules of IN like SCP,SDP, SMP. Recharging System.
• Very Strong in Number analysis and Charging of Prepaid Service in Intelligent Network.
• Good in Analyzing the CDR’s (Call Detailed Records) generated by Intelligent Network.
• Good in analyzing, Debugging and finding the bugs through Logs.
• Good Knowledge in data related products charging
• Sound exposure and Expertise in Prepaid service of Telecom Domain.
• Ability to work under high pressure to meet the deadlines and demanding quality on prepaid products required for launch by marketing team.
• Good Knowledge in C & C++ and various flavours of UNIX and Linux.
