Vacancy: Dispatch Controller

Nation Media Group is the largest independent media house in East and Central Africa with operations in print, electronic and digital media.
It attracts and serves unparalleled audiences in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda, and seeks to consolidate this position by recruiting Dispatch Controllers for our Production Department.

The Role: The incumbent will be responsible for operations in the dispatch section and to ensure publications are dispatched on time to their respective destinations.
In addition, the jobholder will enforce quality practices and enforce operational procedures.

Key result areas will include:

• Dispatching the wrapped copies as per the strip lists and established procedures within set timelines;
• Receiving labels and strip lists and distributing to counters according to routes and recording the details on the counter register;
• Issuing and recording packaging material to the users and writing the SAP report that accounts for material used in the dispatch operations; and
• Ensuring proper housekeeping is done.

Skills, knowledge and experience requirement:

• Diploma in Logistics and supply chain;
• Relevant Trade test certification;
• 1 to 3 years of work experience;
• Technical and numeric skills;
• Ability to communicate; and
• Report writing skills.
