Pursuant to the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and Section 4 of the County Alcoholic Drinks Control Act, 2014 the County Government of Meru established the Alcoholic Drinks Board with the main purpose of licensing and regulating the production, sale, distribution, consumption and outdoor advertising of alcoholic drinks.
Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions;
1. Chairperson (1)
The management of the Board shall vest in the Board which will be chaired by a chairperson.
The chairperson shall sit in meetings, make resolutions, monitor and facilitate the implementation of the functions conferred by legislation.
Requirements
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Be a holder of a first degree from a university recognized in Kenya (A master’s degree in Human Resource Management / Business Administration / Public Administration will be an added advantage)
- Has experience of at least ten years in senior level management in public or private sector and
- Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
The member shall sit in meetings, aid in making resolutions, monitoring and implementation of the functions conferred by legislation.
Requirements
- Be a Kenyan citizen
- Have a minimum of Post- Secondary Education from an institution accredited by the Minister of Education.
- Have good communication skills.
- Have necessary experience in their respective field of profession of at least three (3) years.
- Meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
- The term of office shall be three years, and may be renewed for a further one term, which will be served on a part-time basis.
