Summary:
The purpose of the African Fund Foundation is to share best practices and information, and to collaborate on advocacy efforts across the world. We seek a self-motivated, dynamic and results-oriented Field Coordinator in Kenya. The ideal candidate will work under minimum supervision, provide leadership and monitor the organization’s innovative development program in Mombasa, Nairobi and Kisumu sub regions.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Social Sciences, Agriculture
- Served in a comparable and relevant position for a minimum period of one (2) year;
- At least one (2) year of management/leadership experience
- Confident and proactive in pursuing organizational goals
- High levels of achievement, integrity and self-motivation
- Dedicated and hardworking
- Friendly, open and approachable
- Substantial knowledge regarding the program management on field level.
- Substantial knowledge of standard logistics procedures and practices required
- Excellent communication and representative skills (written, oral, cross-cultural)
- Ability to multitask and deal with stressful situations.
- Ability to adapt within the working environment.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Check in regularly with community programs
- Establish relationships with local government officials and community leaders
- Review grant applications for the communities in need with the appropriate tools to lift themselves out of poverty
- Facilitate meetings with Mentors who deliver training
- Meeting with entire staff 2-4 times per month
Gross salary: 250,400 – 275,710 Kenyan Shillings/ month depending on skills and level of relevant experience. NSSF, airtime and transportation allowances, work computer, benevolent fund,’
