Job Description:

Purpose

• Leading & Supervising a team of company’s dealership QIs, Supervisors, Technical staff & service advisors efficiently to meet service targets & CS in the business areas of CVBU, COMPACTORS (any other addition of service business area in future).
• Responsible for achieving the service plan in line with management`s Annual plan on workshop – planning & managing PDI operations by populating sales forecasts.
• Responsible to handle internal & external audits in workshops; review of regular reports made by Company’s Commercial Vehicle & ensure necessary action is taken
• Responsible for maintenance & smooth running of workshop with effective use of available manpower, Tools & Equipment
• Coordinating with various departments like spare and sales to ensure effectiveness of process; also coordinating and liaising with OEM’s
• Liaising & providing SPD technical support in inventory planning by giving workshop requirements & forecast
• Will be responsible for Technical reporting to business partner (TML), warranty claim administration including WOW & interface with TML and TASNL on workshop issues
• Will approve local purchases, routine administrative purchases & other approvals as per policy.
• Responsible for the Customer Satisfaction score related to Workshop in CSI – by ensuring implementation & sustenance SOPs and execute corrective actions based on customer satisfaction survey findings
• Attending & monitoring customer complaints in workshop with topmost involvement for “NO REPEAT” & ensure speedy resolution of complaint vehicles for higher CS.
• From time to time conducting quality audits of repaired vehicles & at the time of delivery & make action plan, timely review & close actions for improvement.
• Responsible for dealer profitability in workshop as an Independent Unit.
• Responsible for managing manpower, developing and retaining competent manpower

Key Skills:

• Relevant years of Experience:
• 6 -8 yrs in for maintenance & smooth running of workshop. Exposure to the Auto/ Distribution Industry will be an added advantage. Experience with TATA motors commercial vehicles

Education:
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering, from an accredited university. A post-graduate business degree such as MBA will be advantageous.

Nationality: Local African

• Wide knowledge of developing and managing workshop operations is essential and knowledge of training desirable He/she should also have strong communications skills, as the job requires regular interaction regularly with customers, mechanics, technicians, vendors / suppliers and their management.
• Ability to develop influential customer relationships and maintain them.
• Demonstrated executive level relationship building.
• Ability to use professional concepts, company policies and procedures to solve a wide range of difficult problems in imaginative and practical ways.
• Ability to build a connection to key stakeholders and establish credibility quickly
• Ability to develop and execute multiple priorities and approaches to meet objectives.
• Fluency in English
