Duties and Responsibilities
- Testing and coding computer programmes
- Maintenance of ICT facilities inventory at the assigned workstation
- Carry out routine checks and repairs of all ICT equipment
- Preparation of operations and maintenance schedules and; implementation
- Installation and customization of computer software
- Administration and supervision of day to day activities at the computer laboratories
- Preparation of routine reports as per the established regulations
- Drawing up hardware specifications for information communication technology equipment
- Verification, validation and certification of information communication technology equipment
- Training of computers users
- Provision of end-user support
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time
- Ability to articulate and implement departmental strategies

- Requirements for Direct Appointment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science or relevant qualification from a recognized institution
- Higher diploma in Information Technology
- Be a registered member of a recognized professional body
- Has served as ICT Assistant in a reputable or comparable organization for a minimum of three (3) years
- Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
