Mission/Job description

The successful candidate will assist to implement and sustain an effective inventory management system which is customer oriented, flexible and responsive. He/She will also assist in all material receipt and material handling responsibilities in the warehouse by performing the following tasks:-1. Booking stock/customer orders in the ERP system and follow up with logistics team.2. Receiving of goods from the various suppliers, i.e. the opening and unpacking of packages received.3. Verifying the items received against the relevant documents to be correct in quantity and part number.4. Check items received and the general condition of the packaging to be free from any defects.5. Identifying the correct store location of the individual items in location list and storing accurately in the correct location.5. Documentation flow in and out of the warehouse.6. The picking of items as per pick slips.7. Counter assistance – cash sales.8. Dispatching.9. Conduct regular cycle counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory in the warehouse.10. Surplus returns/Scrapping.11. Housekeeping – Ensure that Health & Safety in the warehouse is adhered to at all times.12. Fork Lift Handling- Responsible for safe and effective operation of forklift and, other handling equipment.

Experience requirements

2-3 years experience in warehousing processes.

Knowledge

Excellent computer skills including ERP systems.

Educational requirements

Diploma in supply chain management or technical diploma.

Personality requirements

High integrity and ability to work under minimal supervision with strong customer orientation and good interpersonal skills.
