National Individual Consultant

Background: The discovery of oil and gas has brought much attention to the plethora of natural resources lying within Kenya’s soil.
With these newfound resources, the Government has been reviewing legislation and aligning policies for smoother exploration, contracting, production and benefit sharing of natural and mineral resources.
To support the Government’s priorities, UNDP Kenya is working with the Ministry of Mining in implementing the “Extractive Industries for Sustainable Human Development” project with the aim of ensuring sustainable human development where participation, equity and sustainability are prioritized to ensure the industry also promotes peace.

Objective: The objective of the assignment is to provide technical support to the Extractive Industries Project under the Inclusive Economic Growth Unit.

Maximum two page proposal for implementing the assignment (including key work stages and timelines; consultants can also suggest suitable case examples if any) – Template provided.
