UNDP Kenya invites applications for the following position:
Post Title: Programme Associate
Contract Type: Fixed term Appointment (FTA)
Grade / Band: G6
Direct Supervisor: Team Leader, Energy, Environment and Climate Change Unit
Duration: One year, renewable subject to funding and performance

UNDP Program Associate Job Background:
Under the overall guidance of the Team Leader, Energy, Environment and Climate Change Unit, (EECU), the Programme Associate ensures effective delivery of the country office Energy, Environment and Climate change Unit portfolio by entering and managing data and supporting programme implementation consistent with UNDP rules and regulations.
The Programme Associate works in close collaboration with the operations, programme and projects’ staff in the CO and UNDP HQs as required for resolving complex finance related issues and exchange of information.
Education and Experience for Program Associate Jobs in Kenya
  • Secondary Education, preferably with specialized certification in Accounting and Finance;
  • University Degree in Business or Public Administration, Economics, Political Science and Social Sciences would be desirable, but not a requirement;
  • 6 years of progressively responsible administrative or programme experience is required at the national or international level;
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advance
  • knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages;
  • Experience in handling of web based management systems.
  • Fluency in English and Swahili.
