Job title: Technical Sales Manager – Coastal Region

Reporting To: Directors

Location: Coastal region

Salary: KShs 100K – 150K gross plus commissions

They are authorized dealers of major international brands of earth moving, compaction and construction equipment and industrial equipments such as Excavators, Compact Wheel Loaders, Telehandlers, lift trucks, power generators, Deutz engines and engine parts, cranes, krachers, sprayers and blowers.
They seek to hire an experienced technical sales manager with prior or current knowledge of Mombasa region

Job Responsibilities
  • Developing sales and marketing strategies for the entire region, implementing and guiding to the team
  • Meeting regular sales targets and coordinating sales projects
  • Manage new and existing accounts in the region
  • Sourcing for new clients and maximizing market share potential
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs
  • Applying and negotiating on tender and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services
  • Calculating client quotations and administering client accounts
  • Developing long-term relationships with both new and existing clients through constant follow ups
  • Conducting market research in order to determine customer needs.
  • Evaluate product and service marketability in terms of customer’s technical and commercial needs.
  • Analyzing costs and sales of various equipments
  • Preparing reports for head office
  • Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events
  • Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts
  • Providing training and producing support material for other members of the sales team.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Degree in engineering; preferably mechanical, technical or automotive
  • Degree holders in sales and marketing with a technical sales background are also encouraged to apply
  • Minimum 5 years of experience selling industrial and crude construction equipment in the Coast region.
  • Must have excellent sales skills and proven track record in meeting set targets
  • Should be flexible, as the role requires extensive travel within the region
  • The ability to build relationships with clients quickly
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Resilience, and tenacity
